How It Works

This live course is designed for massage therapists who desire to launch a massage practice or strengthen an existing one. It is held on three weekends on the Adawehi campus in Columbus, NC. Each of the three weekends is a series of six classes presented all day Saturday and Sunday until noon. The program includes onsite classes, home-study online lessons, accommodations on the Adawehi campus and all meals for the three weekends.

Weekend 1 focuses on the intent of your practice, what in business is usually called the mission statement. From this intent, definitions and structures are derived that reflect in the day-to-day interactions in your business

Weekend 2 As your business grows and changes, your structures may need review. They may simply need to be refined, or the changes may be so dramatic as to totally be redefined. Learn how to match changes with your intent.

Weekend 3 During this weekend you will practice communication and listening skills, learn tools to evaluate situations that relate to the ‘status’ of your business and determine how and in what direction your practice is growing and expanding.

Learning Objectives

Be able to state the intent of their massage business (mission statement)
Know the difference between refining and re-defining and give examples of each
Demonstrate proficiency in communication and listening tools
Apply the tools of evaluating business situations through examples.

Learning Activities
To receive the certificate, the participant must attend all classes during the three (3) weekends, complete all home-study online lessons, show competency to the instructor in the learning outcomes, and complete a course evaluation.

Instructor Qualifications
Russell Woods, LMBT, has partnered with Jackie Woods in delivering truth and healing to the world for more than 30 years. He applies energetic principles to his revolutionary Deep Tissue Emotional Release healing sessions. His black belt in martial arts allows another mode of delivering energy to the world. Using martial arts principles, he teaches energy grounding and gives people the opportunity to feel the energy of who they are in their bodies. Russell has also provided continuing education courses to massage therapists nationwide and perfectly partners his wisdom with his mother’s love to teach others how to live powerful lives.

Jackie Woods is an expert in the field of personal development – with more than 25 years teaching experience. Jackie’s teachings transcend traditional forms of self-help, which often focus on “fixing” symptoms and “coping” with dysfunction. Instead, Jackie focuses on Empowering Your Heart for Extraordinary Living – identifying and facilitating true healing and accelerated personal growth.

Author of several books and numerous recorded seminars, Jackie has written commentaries that have been published in several magazines. She is a regular guest expert on syndicated radio and has made select appearances on network and cable television. Jackie is the founder and director of Adawehi Institute.

Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Approval Status
Adawehi Institute is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider (Approval number 396607-00).

Some states approve any course (including online and distance learning courses) offered by NCBTMB approved providers such as AL, CN, DC, NH, NM, ND, SC, TN, and WV. Please call your state regulatory board for further questions pertaining to content or number of distance learning/home study hours allowed.

Certificate of Achievement
Upon satisfactory fulfillment of the learning activities, a certificate of achievement is awarded for successful completion of the course. Certificates are available at the final live session on Sunday. There is a $10 processing fee to mail the certificate if it isn’t picked up at the final live session.

Books and Audio Recordings
Books and audio recordings by Jackie Woods are available at the Adawehi online shop. Sale of all books and recorded materials benefit the Adawehi Healing Center and Adawehi Institute.
